Incoming water pressure

Lately I have been bypassing my 100 gal water holding tank and hooking direct to the TM. Certain areas the water pressure is high and others extremely low (that's when the tank comes in handy). I noticed Jim Martin had a pressure regulator hooked up in line. What should you set your pressure at where it won't blow thru your water box float?

Our tap pressures run 30-40lbs here. Buddy does Sprinkler Systems : )

Does your holding tank have a float?
I always run the tank. If i run low, i just hook up to the tank and truck along. Turn the tap down to slow how fast your filling it : )

My current holding tank does not have a float, but it is a mod that I am going to do when things slow down for me.
