My older brother was "mentally retarded", according to the language of the time. (He passed about 30 years ago.) I have always considered the term "retard" or "retarded" to be very offensive, not unlike using the '"n" word."Retarded" is an unfortunate term.
In today's parlance, try these instead:
"Developmentally challenged"
"Cognitively disabled"
"Intellectually disabled"
"Differently-abled"
This last one has gained a great deal of acceptance, but many organizations that help such individuals find this term to be condescending.
No need to thank me Marty; I know you keep notes of my suggestions of empathy and kindness in a notebook somewhere close at hand....

Kinda shocking the percentage of which we see chemical imbalance and imperfect physical and emotional development..

The N word is only offensive if white people use it so it seems.
I had a black guy working with me a friend too who use to get upset when he saw a confederate flag.
Some people are easily triggered.
I learned at a very young age due to 2 brothers to not let words offend me.
It gives other people control over your emotions.
It's not always easy though.

so a guy on facebook has some hose I can get cheap but its 1 1/2 inch. If I want to do a 4 to the door and use a 2 inch hose and a 1 1/2 inch hose from the machine to the Devastator would that work?

How much are you willing to pay for used hose? I have several hundred feet of this 2" hose in 75' and 50' lengths (at least 600')(1-50' new in the box)its all Amflex Plastics hose. I had it custom made , ive since changed the color to frankinstien greenAll in great shape Shipping would be from California i also have it in 1½" and some in 1¼"

I experienced that when I tried the 4 to the door method. I noticed that one hose took all the air, and the other was filled with water, which killed the suction because it separated the CFM from the Lift.
We all know that Lift and CFM only give the best performance when they are combined, since the more lift you get, it gives the power to increase the CFM of the water. But when there's one hose with just water, and the other with air, both areas are decreased dramatically
I don't know if anyone else had experienced that problem, or it was just me, since I was using a hydra master at the time, and I had the machine set at 12hg on the blower because that's what the manual and JD instructed me to do for that machine.
But I hated doing 4Tothe door after that experience. The first 50-100Ft of 2.5" hose is way better than 4tothedoor
