You mean you do to want to prespray? I wouldn't recommend that but something like Procyon plus powder won't leave any sticky residue.

if you're planing "blow 'n go" ala Stan and the clans ...just encRap it.
cause there is no emulsifier run thru the wand that will clean worth a chit compared to pre-spray, dwell (or scrub) and flush rinse extract.

butt...can tell you Prochem Dry Slurry is an excellent emulsifier with low to no resoil residue concerns

Any of the well known manufacturer's alkaline rinses would work.

In the medium soiled areas and or high traffic areas, not pre-spraying may actually slow you down as it will require many more passes to achieve clean and may increase chances of stains coming back or streaking.

None of the well formulated rinses will cause re-soling if used in the right dilusion.

Why ultrapac on commercial? If you are not fighting odor issues I'd try saigers code red for oily situations. It seems to rinse easier to me too.

Prochem Dry Slurry, Hydramaster HydraDri or RinseFree, or any other "extraction detergent" designed for just this purpose will do exactly what you want. There are higher alkalinity detergents that are appropriate for commercial carpet as well.

Light to medium soil levels and plastic carpet require pre-spray only on specific spots.

For this situation, extra steps are fluff.



PS: The term rinse has become confusing, as many manufacturers use the term freely to describe products that are detergents and also products that are just rinses.

A rinse is supposed to be a product that helps remove detergent residue, as from pre-sprayed detergent. Anyone using an actual rinse without prespray knows it doesn't clean, and may be confused into thinking that extraction detergent doesn't work and a two-step method is required.

Water is a rinsing agent. And by itself can remove all kinds of soapy residue. It does clean by itself and has been proven to be very effective with the proper tools.

But alas many are just follow the pack type of cleaners.

Chemspec formula 90 was a very good cleaner that dried into a powder that if there was residue it could be vacuumed up

But I figure throw a few guys on wands with lower pressure and a good emulsifier and let them rinse away in the clean areas

Maybe I’m a super hack but many situations I have ran a zipper ss at 800psi no prespray just a good emulsifier set at 4gph and did a great job

We cleaned from the mid 70's until the early 80's with high heat truck mounts, an alkaline emulsifier (first one we used isn't made any longer; the last few years it was Dry Slurry). We had prespotter when needed.

To be fair, back then we were cleaning dirt colored carpet (brown, rust, olive green for the most part).

There is something to be said for the fact that if you can clean with a pass or two and no prespray that the carpet will dry quicker than if its heavily presprayed with an in line sprayer, then rinsed.
