30 some years ago as a clerk she chased down a shoplifter (with her car) across a parking lot and pinned him up against a concrete wall until the police showed up.

I worked at Kmart too, in the Deli. I was arrested for giving away ham at the end of the night that otherwise was supposed to be thrown away..

I worked at Kmart for a short time in the auto service area. It was an afternoon/evening job while I was in school. I was the closer and got the fun job of cleaning the bays every night. Quite often I would go to the deli near closing time because our store's deli sold leftover subs for $1.00.

My only retail experience was at a full service gas station. Pumped gas, checked oil, cleaned windows and sold cigarettes. Almost all these customers had an account. Hand written invoices. Credit cards were done with a racker. Lots of cash. “Just give me $2 of Super”

The customer is always right!! Unless you own the company. This ownership is one of the blessings of owner/operators in the cleaning industry. You can walk away from any customer who you think could be a problem before they are a problem.
