Referral Rewards for Independent Adjusters?

Is this acceptable to offer independent adjusters? Trying to get more water jobs and have kicked this idea around a bit. I work with some independent adjusters. Is this ok to throw them $50-$100 for a referral, or is that a little shady? Just want some thought on this. Thanks.

Where I'm from its a known fact that independent adjusters work for you at 20%

Part of the reason why there are less and less of them!

Public Adjusters are the ones who work for the insured for a percentage.

Independent Adjusters work for several insurers. Typically they are hired by nsurance companies when the company does not have enough policy holders in a given are to justify having a staff adjuster in that area.

It is improper to pay any adjsuter for leads.
