Many water based protectors are not freeze-thaw stable.

In our product line Precedent and Teflon for wool are not Freeze-Thaw stable. Our Maxim Advanced Carpet Protector is freeze-thaw stable. So if you are concerned about freeing, you only need to switch to Maxim.

Othe products in our line that are not freeze-thaw stable
- Bridgepoint Wood Finish (both semi-gloss and matte)
- Clear Grout Sealer
- Dyes for the Clear Grout Sealer (all 8 colors)

In addition, Wood Patch (all colors) separates when frozen, but it is reusable if it is completely thawed out and then completely re-mixed.


For those that may use floor finish for VCT floors, that is another product category that generally should not be frozen.

Nah, it got cold Saturday night, (low of 28) but nothing froze.

besides, I'm too much of BDCC to have a large inventory of chems anyway...

I want to thank all the people who posted about winter months and freezing chems, equipment. I never thought about what you guys have to go through. This board really opened my eyes and now I'll probably never leave Hawaii. Thanks guys.

But the last time I was in Hawaii, all the loose gallon chemical containers in the back of the Pick-Up trucks, blew over from the nearby hurricane.

The surf was pretty nice, though.

LOL. It's once every 10 years for a hurricane. We didn't have one for 13 years now. No problems for us. What's the deal with not tying your cargo down? :mrgreen:

The surf was pretty nice too for the people with beach front properties.
